Chili Lime Fish Fillets

These fillets can be cooked in an air fryer or a conventional oven. They are tender, flaky and delicious! If using an air fryer, cook at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. If using a conventional oven, bake at 400 degrees for 13-16 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Seasoning blend option 1:
  • 2-3 fish fillets: orange roughy and tilapia are great, or substitute another white fish.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon roasted or minced garlic (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • lime zest from one lime
  • lime juice from one lime
  • olive oil to drizzle fillet

Or you can substitute and buy a chili lime seasoning for a little different flavor. (See seasoning blend option 2)

This is a chili & lime blend that I use. It is great for fish and chicken.
  • Seasoning blend option 2:
  • 2 teaspoons chili lime seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon roasted or minced garlic (fresh or dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (the seasoning usually has some salt in it)
  • lime juice from one lime (will already have lime zest or powder in it)
  • olive oil to drizzle fillet
  • Directions:
  • 1. Mix seasoning blend of your choice in a dish
  • 2. Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel
  • 3. Drizzle with a little olive oil
  • 4. Thoroughly season each fillet with the seasoning blend
  • 5. Place in air fryer and cook on 400 for 8-10 minutes
  • 6. Remove from air fryer and serve with fresh lime juice

Or place on baking sheet in oven at 400 degrees for 13-16 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with fresh lime juice.

  • Serve the fillets with:
  • salads
  • burrito bowls
  • tacos
  • cauliflower rice and roasted veggies
  • fresh avocado and mango salsa on top
  • fresh jalapeƱo, cayenne, or chili peppers for an extra spice
