Grain-free Biscuits

Bake at 400 degrees.

These biscuits are delicious, grain-free, and versatile. You can add one or two teaspoon of herbs of your choice to make them a dinner biscuit. I like baking them in an iron skillet with a little olive oil for a nice crunchy bottom. Enjoy!

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2/3 cup arrow root
  • 1/3 cup coconut flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (canned and I use full fat)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
I like to use butter from grass-fed cows. Here are some food brands that I use.
  • 1. Combine dry ingredients.
  • 2. Add butter and oil then mix until crumbly.
  • 3. Add milk, lemon juice, and egg in a separate container and mix well.
  • 4. Fold milk mixture into dry ingredients and mix together until well blended.
  • 5. Let sit for a few minutes to allow the flour mixture to absorb the liquid.
  • 6. Form into balls and place in a iron skillet (or pant of your choice) that has been greased with olive oil.
  • 7. Bake until a medium brown color (20-28 minutes)
Place them a small distance apart to allow for them to expand.

When the biscuits are finished, I like to turn them upside down on a cooling rack or plate to keep them from becoming soft or soggy on the bottom.

  1. I have made these biscuits more than once. They are great and they freeze really well and warm well in microwave or air fryer. Really DELICIOUS!!!
